SPARTAN HOCKEY SEASON
Francis Howell Central fields teams at the Varsity, JV and B level each season, providing players of all levels the opportunity to compete for and represent their high school. The Francis Howell Central Hockey Club is a not for profit organization whose purpose is to provide high school hockey opportunities to 7th – 12th grade students who reside within the Francis Howell Central High School district. Though Francis Howell Central Hockey Club is a non-school sponsored club, it plays under the Spartans name and logo and conducts itself in a manner that reflects positively upon Francis Howell Central High School.
Ages
Players 9th grade through 12th grade are eligible to play Varsity and/or JV.
Players in 8th grade are eligible for B-team.
Players in 7th grade are eligible for B-team as long as they are also meet the age requirements to be 14U Bantams in youth hockey.
When
The Varsity and JV seasons begin with practices in September and runs through the playoffs in February.
B Team season begins after Varsity season but there will be practices, practice games, and potential tournament games prior to the Midstates B season.
Where
Practices are held at the RecPlex. Games may be played across the metro region.
Practices
High school players can expect to practice at least twice a week. Middle School players will practice just once a week.
Games
Varsity will play 20-30 games and JV will play 15-20 games over the course of the season, including playoffs.
B Team will play 15-20 games which mostly fall on weekends.
Jerseys
Club jerseys are required. All new Varsity/JV players must purchase jerseys.
Shells are optional for purchase.

Costs:
VARSITY/JV - $1,600 (includes B Team for 9th and eligible 10th graders)
B TEAM ONLY - $800
Registration Fees cover cost of ice for practice, games, referee fees, and coach stipend.
