Kraft previously lived in Wisconsin and moved to St. Charles County in 2019. Prior to coaching at St. Peters, Kraft was Head Coach of Stoughton High School Varsity, and before that he coached in the Beaver Dam Hockey Association, including a Bantam A team that won back-to-back Wisconsin State Championships in 2017 and 2018. He also coached for Beaver Dam High School.

Kraft is a USA Hockey Master Coach with Level 5 Certification. He has experience with all levels from Mite to Midget and has evaluated players for numerous clubs and organizations, including Central States Developmental Hockey League.
