Organization Purpose:
The Francis Howell Central Spartan Hockey Club is a not for profit organization whose purpose is to provide high school
hockey opportunities to students, grades 7 - 12, within the Francis Howell Central school district.
The purpose of our organization is to provide an opportunity for players to build upon their previous hockey experience.
Our Club's goal is to to grow the membership so that we are able continue to provide all levels of play from C-Team
to Varsity.
We also want to promote the great game of hockey, build friendships, develop character, create memories,
and prepare the young players for life experiences Through this the organization will become even stronger.
The FHC Spartans hockey teams are a non sponsored high school sport. While the school does not oversee the
operation of the Club, playing under the Spartan name and logo requires that the Club and its members and players conduct
themselves in a manner that reflects positively upon the school.
The FHC Spartan Hockey Club particpates in the
Mid-States High School Club Hockey Association (MSCHA), which is governed by the Missouri High School Hockey Association (MHSHA).
During
the 2009-10 season, the Varsity Spartans will be a member of the St. Charles Conference along with Duchesne, Francis
Howell, Francis Howell North, Ft. Zumwalt South, Ft. Zumwalt West, Wentzville Holt, and Wentzville Timberland.
The JV team will participate in the North Conference along with Francis Howell, Francis Howell North, Ft. Zumwalt West, CBC
Gold and DeSmet North. The C-Team will participate in the Mid States Development League.

logo, the school does not contribute to, nor oversee the operation of the Club. However, this does require
that the Club operate and conduct itself in a manner that reflects positively upon the school.
Francis Howell
Central Spartans Hockey Club participates in the Mid-States High School Club Hockey Association (MSCHA), which is governed

The FHC Varsity
Spartans are a member of the St. Charles Conference along with Duchesne, Francis Howell, Francis Howell North, Ft. Zumwalt
South, Ft. Zumwalt West, Wentzville Holt and Wentzville Timberland.
The Club has individual fundraising opportunities to reduce your out of pocket cost. This is
entirely optional.
The C Team participates in the Mid States Development League. Club fees are established
to keep cost to a minimum. They mostly cover the cost of the league, practice time and banquet.
Past fees have ranged between $500 - $600 per player.
The C Team
is viewed as an introduction to high school hockey and a supplement to other Club hockey. With that in
mind, there is one shared ice practice time each week. This keeps the cost down, and limits the potential
for conflict with any other team for which your child may be participating.
Tryouts are
typically in the month of August and held at the Rec-Plex in St. Peters.
